Ditch your Stabilisers Day
30 children took part in this special day and had a fantastic time. The sessions allowed children to develop confidence and belief in themselves. It made me so proud watching them ride their bikes with big smiles on their faces. A lot of them did not know how to ride a bike, until now! Thank you so much to Lucy Sutcliffe, Miss Newsham, Miss Kirk and Mrs Burrows for all your support in making this day a great success.
ECO DAY
Eco day was a great success! Each class took part in workshops todevelop their awareness of making our school greener.
· Reception designed their own ECO Superhero and made a litter muncher out of junk.
· Year 1 & 2made ice sculptures with Miss Edwards. They used recycled cardboard tubes.
· Year 2 wrote some Eco related poems.
· Year 3 & 4 took part in a 'Feel Good Factory' workshop where they made many different fruit smoothies. Yum!!!!
· Year 5 & 6 made recycled plastic coasters out of recycled plastic bags with Anne Marie Clegg.
Bike it
We had our first 'Bike It Breakfast' on the 17thNovember and it was a great success! 23 bikes came through our school gates!! Well done to all those involved! We look forward to doing it again in the Spring Term!
Lucy came to do an assembly about 'Being Seen' in the dark. She then went to work with both Year 1 and 2. They designed their own bike and then made them out of art straws.
Gardening club

REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE!!!
Reduce: to prevent rubbish from entering the waste stream in the first place e.g. buy foods with the least amount of packaging.
Reuse: use your rubbish again before throwing it away e.g. reuse plastic bottles for drinks.
Recycle: make something old into something new e.g. put your cans in the boxes provided and they will be made into new cans.
