Year 4 had a fabulous time at the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic learning about different ways to compose music and the moods it can create. We performed a musical adaptation of the poem 'The Witch' and we also learned sign language to accompany the song. The children loved the experience of the theatre.

Year 3 and 4 were visited by staff and pupils from Maghull High School to do the ‘Pop Star Challenge’. This involved looking into all of the aspects it takes to run a band such as logo design, press releases and planning performances. The children had a fantastic morning learning how they can show their talents and abilities as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child.

Here are some quotes from our children.

“The Pop Star Challenge has helped improve my confidence to get on stage.” Sophia Hyland Agbo-Panzo - Year 4

“It helped me see how organised bands have to be.” Madison Stafford  - Year 4

“It gave me the change to partner with other people who I might not talk to in different year groups.” Issabelle Kenwright - Year 4
