The Istituto Comprensivo di Zogno school is the largest in the Brembana Valley, with three levels of schools: 5 nursery schools, (from 3 to 6 years), 5 primary schools (from 6 to 10 years) also include a class "potenziata" frequented by disabled students with special needs, and a  middle school (from 11 to 14 years) . The Istituto di Comprensivo di  Zogno is a public school. In  Zogno there is also an high school (public school) which includes both the lyceum and vocational technical school, in addition to public schools, there are two private preschools.

Zogno is located in a small mountain valley where the main problem is the industrial dislocation, so many people must move to find work opportunities.

Zogno city  (8.000 inhabitants) is located in northern Italy, in the valley Brembana 20 km from the city of Bergamo and 50 km from Milan. (In Bergamo there is the   airport (Orio al Serio) from which depart and arrive many European flights)

 In the region is predominantly middle class. Good quality transport promotes pendulum movement of students and workers in the cities of Bergamo and Milan and surroundings.

The school population consists mainly of local residents who do not have specific problems concerning the socio-economic conditions, immigration is not very present in the valley.

Zogno lies at the foot of the Alps Orobiche so close to tourist centers that offer opportunities for ecological tourism in summer and winter.
