Rosemary Turner

My name is Rosemary Turner and I am the children’s Physiotherapist who comes into the school. I am employed by Alder Hey to work in South Sefton. I get to know the children whose bodies work differently from other children in the school and to develop physical skills and mobility. I meet with their families at home as well.

I talk with the teacher and classroom assistants and suggest activities which will help make learning easier in class and PE.  If staff need more information I provide training in postural management, treatment programmes and the use of any equipment that may be needed by the children. You may see things like standing frames, walking frames, powered wheelchairs and specialist footwear and splints around the school, which help some children.
